BJP President and Home Minister Amit Shah has accused the Congress, AAP and other parties of misleading the people on the provisions of the Citizenship Amendment Act resulting in violence across the country.
He was addressing a BJP’s booth-level workers rally in New Delhi today. Amit Shah said, the recent attack on Nankana Sahib gurudwara in Pakistan stressed the importance of the Citizenship Act to provide relief to religiously persecuted minorities in the neighbouring country. He reiterated that this legislation has nothing to do with the citizenship of the minorities in India.

Taking a swipe at Arvind Kejriwal, Home Minister said, somebody, can mislead people once but not all the time. Amit Shah said, the party had said that the NDA government will regularise the unauthorized colonies in Delhi.
BJP Working President J P Nadda has said his party is the only one that is free from dynastic politics and based on ideology. Senior BJP leader and Union Ministers Prakash Javadekar, Hardeep Singh Puri and Harsh Vardhan were also present on the occasion.
