An audio of VMC newly elected deputy mayor and MSU Syndicate member Dr. Jivraj Chauhan with allegations of corruption in giving permanent status to the university professors went viral in the social media. With first day in office the shared clip of deputy mayor shocked the party but Dr. Chauhan deny the allegations and said it is to tarnish his image.
On Monday VMC get new mayor, deputy mayor, standing committee chairman and other officials in the general board meeting. During that time the audio clip of deputy mayor Dr. Jivraj Chauhan went viral where the names of him and education minister Ramanlal Vora was mentioned. The clip also heard professors talked about to complete the work regarding permanent status to the temporary professors.
However Dr. Chauhan said the audio was old and it’s the handiwork of someone who don’t like my appointment as the new deputy mayor of Vadodara. The step is to tarnish his image.
Congress spokesperson Shailesh Amin said someone drop the CD in a cover and letter inside the deky of his bike on one night where he heard the corruption things about the newly elected deputy mayor. He further said that the audio states about giving permanents status to the MSU professors which is a serious matter. He will demand for a FSL investigation for the audio clip and action for the accused if it proves to be true.
