Ajwa Sarovar starts receiving water from Narmada channel

The corporation requested for 250 cusecs of water from the government

Its a good news for the people of Vadodara before the onset of summer this year. The state government decide and starts supplying water to Ajwa Sarovar from Narmada channel. The corporation requested for 250 cusecs of water from the government.

Vadodara standing committee chairman Satish Patel said the water level at Ajwa is continuously receding and they requested the state government for water supply through Narmada channel. The request is accepted by deputy CM Nitin Patel and from Saturday the lake started receiving water.

The water from the lake is distributed to the east and south zones and corporation make full arrangements for water before the onset of summer this year. The lake register the level 203 foot on Saturday.
