Due to continuous heavy rains in the catchment area the level of Ajwa dam reached 211.50 and it overflows from its 62 doors. The water is overflowing slowly from the dam to Vishwamitri river which is flowing through the city of Vadodara.

Due to the continuous rains for last two days in the city aa well as catchment area resulting in good inflow of water into Ajwa dam. During afternoon on Friday the water overflows from the Ajwa dam as if reached 211.50. The level of Vishwamitri river also increased due to rains and it is flowing at 18 foot.

However as the dam is overflowing there is possibility of Vishwmitri level might increase as the water will be flowing into the river. The administration is closely monitoring the situation as the city is witnessing continuous showers.
