Ajju Kaniya, who was involved in various murders, was killed in Vadodara Central Jail

Ajju Kaniya, who was involved in crimes including ransom in Vadodara city, has been killed in Vadodara Central Jail. He was recently arrested by the Crime Branch and after interrogation sent to jail. It is said that he had heated altercation with other inmates inside the jail and fatally attacked. He later died at the hospital during treatment.

Ajju Kaniya was detained by Vadodara City Wadi Police 4 months ago. He escaped after giving a slip to the police during the detention proceedings. Fugitive Ajju Kaniya was apprehended by the Vadodara City Crime Branch and was shifted to Vadodara Central Jail. According to sources, there was a quarrel with another inmate in the jail which lead to murder of Ajju Kaniya.

It is said that In the scuffle between Ajju and Sunil alias Sahil Mahesh Parmar increased and in a fit of rage the accused picked up a piece of roof sheet and turned it around Ajju Kaniya’s neck. As a result, Ajju Kanio was seriously injured and rushed to SSG Hospital for treatment. The doctors on duty pronounced him dead during treatment.

More than 31 serious offenses like attempted murder, robbery, assault, ransom have been registered against Ajju Kaniya. He has so far been charged with more than 31 serious offenses of various kinds like attempted murder, robbery, assault and ransom and was also send to PASA four times and declared tadipaar twice.

The notorious Ajju Kaniya had demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh and a flat from a trader in the Panigate area to grab the land. The trader, who owns a showroom of readymade garments on Panigate Mandvi Road, had registered a place next to his house with a registered banakhat and the notorious Ajju Kaniya had taken the Supri to grab the land.

The accused was to hand over possession of the land to Wali Mohammad. Ajju Kaniya was arrested at the Wadi police station in June. Before taking legal action against him, he was taken to Sayaji Hospital for corona test under the watch of Wadi police, when he escaped. The crime branch nabbed him from near Mehsana.
