Reliance Industries now enters into e-commerce business by launching an online fashion portal (ajio.com) with preview of its collection at Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai. Reliance Industries is expected to invest around 2000 cr. this year for this project.
Most of the brands associated are casual wear and affordable brands from markets like Russia, Australia and Europe. It will be offering largest collection of private labels for women. The products are to be targeted to 18 to 34 year olds.
The portal offers a wide range of selection for women at present but it is soon going to cater to men and kids.
