Ajay Kumar Tiwari took over as new commandant of 6 NDRF BN at Jarod

Ajay Kumar Tiwari a 1998 batch officer is the new commandant of 6 NDRF BN at Jarod near Vadodara. He took over the charge from R.S. Joon in a farewell function organised at the unit.

R.S. Joon, commanded the unit for more than 9 years and under his leadership the unit achieved the series of success in Gujarat during disaster. His leadership and performance of NDRF always appreciated from all the corners of State community and state administration.

A farewell function with virtual presence of S.N. Pradhan DG, NDRF organized at 6 Bn NDRF Unit HQ , Jarod in which Baton of Unit was handed over to Ajay Kumar the new commandant of the battalion.

Tiwari is a 1998 batch CRPF Cadre officer having vast experience of 5 years in NDRF looking after the assignment of Provisioning matter at Force Headquarter NDRF, New Delhi. He has already served in NDRF Pune for approximately 3 years and good experience in Mumbai flood Response. He also attended different International Seminar on Disaster Risk Reduction related issues.

The function was witnessed with virtual presence of DG NDRF and other unit officers and Men. In his farewell speech NDRF DG Pradhan appreciated the working culture of R.S. Joon and remembered his dedication and supervision during flood and cyclones in Gujarat, Utrakhand, J &k flood disaster and highly focussed event at Statue of Unity Kevadia last year, as informed by R. K. Mishra, PRO 6BN NDRF.

Pradhan also expressed his happiness for the new Commandant Ajay Kumar Tiwari to be the unit Head. He wished for out going commandant R.S. Joon and Ajay Tiwari, Commandant 06 BN NDRF at Jarod.
