Ahmedabad cantonment board organises Biennial sports meet

Ahmedabad Cantonment Board organized

Biennial Sports Meet for Southern Command Schools titled ‘Sankalp 2019’. The

two days event is being organized at Cantonment Board’s school stadium at

Shahibaug Cantt, Ahmedabad from 30 Nov 19 to 01 Dec 19.

The event was inaugurated by Major General Dinesh Shrivastava, General Officer Commanding, Golden Katar Division along with Ajay Kumar Sharma, IDES, Principal Director, Defence Estates, Southern Command, Pune.

Total 793 students and 109 teachers from 14 different Cantonment Board schools under Southern Command of Indian Army consists of Ahmednagar, Babina, Sagour, Wellington, St.Thomas Mt., Jhansi, Pune, Khadki, Deolali, Aurangabad, Kamptee, Belgaum, Dehu road & Ahmedabad are participating in various sports activities.

The aim of organizing such sports event is to develop and upgrade the hidden abilities in the children by encouraging them to actively participate in sports. Sports Coach Simranjit Singh Bhatia was called for talent scouting, and also gave the message of ‘Fit India’ in the opening ceremony.
