The administration is kept on alert after the flood water from Narmada river started entering the villages situated alongside the river. Villagers were alerted as flood waters entered Chandod, Karnali, Nanderia in Dabhoi taluka and the famous Ansoya Mata temple in Ambali village in Shinor taluka. In the morning, 28 people from Nandaria village were evacuated.

As soon as the flood started in Narmada river, 3 villages of Dabhoi taluka, 11 villages of Shinor taluka and 11 villages of Karjan taluka, a total of 25 villages were alerted. The administration started evacuating people living alongside the river to safer places. Famous Malhar Ghat in Chandod was submerged overnight and later in the morning, water reached the bus stand and police outpost in Karnali village. The riverside villages were alerted through siren in Chandod by the administration as water started entering in the areas.

As Narmada river level was rising, all precautionary measures were being taken by the Vadodara district administration. The villagers also sheltered the people living alongside the river bank in the village schools and started arranging tea, snacks and meals. The villagers were alerted when the water reached the Ansoyamata temple at Ambali village in Shinor taluka.

The people spent the whole night with their eyes open as the water level continuously rising in Narmada river. Along with this, continuous monitoring was also done by the district administration. All precautionary measures are being taken in 25 villages of Dabhoi, Shinor and Karjan talukas of Vadodara district situated on the banks of Narmada river. The animals were also taken to higher ground as part of the precaution.
