The Ahmedabad and Baroda ACB searched the Sumandeep University and the house of Dr. Mansukh Shah on Tuesday and found crores worth of cheques and other items from his house and University. The ACB also found crores of fixed deposit during the search.
The Ahmedabad ACB with the help of Vadodara ACB caught Dr. Mansukh Shah along with his two associates for accepting bribe of 20 lakhs from a student to allow her to sit in the final exam. The two accused Vinod Sawant and Ashok Tailor accepted the money on behalf of Dr. Mansukh Shah and informed him after they recieved the cash. The ACB which kept a watch since afternoon caught the duo with the money and then caught Dr. Mansukh Shah.
On Monday the ACB sleuths searched the Sumandeep University and found 101 crore cheques from there and 43 crore fixed deposit. The team searched Dr. Mansukh Shah residence in Udyog nagar and found assets of 1 crore including furniture, jewellery, Mercedes Benz car, Audi and BMW car. The ACB sleuths also questioned 50 people in the matter.
The complainant in the matter is Jasmina Dilip Devala from Ahmedabad Vasna and according to the matter Dr. Mansukh Shah demanded 20 lakhs for form and to pass the girl in exams. He took 20 lakhs cheque and allowed the girl to sit in her first exam. But later Dr. Mansukh Shah demand 20 lakh cash from them to allow her to sit in the second exam. The complainant in between approached the ACB and Dr. Mansukh Shah was caught by them along with his two associates from Vadodara.
They were produced before the court on Wednesday.
