Registered offence against three officials of SEZ one absconding.

Vadodara Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught one class 2 officer along with two other officials of Dahej Central Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for accepting bribe from a scrap dealer. The officials asked for 1.35lakh bribe for 90paise per kilo scrap from the company and in bill of entry. The officials caught four along with two middle man and one officer is absconding.

As per details the complainant is into scrap dealing in Ankleshwar GIDC and purchased 150 tonne scrap from Tega company on 1st November 2018 at Dahej. To load the scrap the dealer has to pay all the taxes through bill of entry in SEZ office. The authorised officer Gitesh Hiralal Parikh demand 1.35lakh bribe from the dealer to enter 90paise per kilo of scrap. The demand was made through two middle man Dinesh Agnihotri and Mukesh Jha.

The complainant denied and the officials started to trouble him in loading the trucks. He then contact the ACB toll free number and the team laid a trap and caught the middle man Dinesh Agnihotri and SEZ GST inspector Rakesh Sitara Prasad for accepting the bribe. The other two Gitesh Parikh and Mohit Mishra also was arrested by the ACB team along with the bribe money. Mukesh Jha is absconding in the matter.

ACB also conduct search operation at residence of Gitesh Parikh and investigate against his unknown assets and bank accounts.
