“A Rs 200-crore loan to the North MCD was approved today (Wednesday) for payment of salaries to its employees. The Finance Department has been ordered to release the funds,” a government official told IANS.

The official said the MCD has been given Rs 1,104.89 crore, excluding the loan amount, in the current financial year.

“In the 2016-17 fiscal, the total money given to the MCD is Rs 1,304.89 crore,” the official said.
