Pri. B. I. Patel Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), a constituent centre of Charotar University of Science and Technology, organised a seminar on “Safety Precautions” on Wednesday, 30th August 2017 at Charusat Campus. The seminar was attended by more than 400 participants including students, teachers and other members of Charusat Family.
The Session under the theme “Safety Precautions” was initiated by HRDC mainly in view of several ill-fortunate Road Accidents taking place all around and how to avoid recurrences of such was the prime objective of the seminar.
The seminar was addressed by Rutvija P. Dani of Regional Transport Authority, Anand. She invited some of the students to present their view points on the theme of the seminar. Five students from various disciplines of the University made some thought provocative presentations, which were very much appreciated by all the audience.
In her keynote address, Dani clearly emphasised on major safety norms that need to be made mandatory with immediate effect like, Helmet for two wheeler, Use of Seat Belts in Car, absolute avoidance of Cell Phone and other accessories while Driving, and to keep oneself absolutely alert on the Road. To make this system put in place, she urged upon all the students and Charusat Family members to adapt to Self Discipline practices by implementation of Safety norms beginning from within the campus.
The programme generated great enthusiasm and determination to implement the idea of safety precautions as a matter of routine. The programme was concluded by presenting token of appreciation to the students for their presentations by R. P. Dani.
