Nottingham Trent University (NTU) celebrated the graduation of 221 Indian students which includes 110 undergraduate and 133 postgraduate students during the 2025-26 academic year, marking another significant milestone for its growing Indian student community.They will now join NTU’s global alumni network of more than 250,000 professionals, innovators and changemakers worldwide.
Among undergraduate graduates, popular fields included Design, Creative and Performing Arts, Business & Management, Computing, and Allied Health Sciences. At the postgraduate level, Computing, Business & Management, and Engineering & Technology emerged as the leading disciplines.
NTU Highlights Achievements of Indian Graduating Cohort
NTU has a growing network of Indian alumni making their mark across business, creative industries, law and entrepreneurship. Notable Indian alumni include designer Priya Patel and travel blogger Mayur Sharma. UK-based graduates include Gaggan Sabherwal, an MA Television Journalism graduate and India UK Achievers Honours recipient who now works as a senior reporter for the BBC, and Aufa Karnalkar, an LLM International Trade and Commercial Law graduate working as an independent legal professional and academic tutor.
Commenting on the graduating class, Stephen Williams, Director, NTU Global, said the university was proud of its Indian students and their achievements. He highlighted their talent, determination and contribution to the university community, adding that graduation marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the graduates.
Among this year’s graduates is Ramita Eswarappa, who completed a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons). Reflecting on her NTU experience, Eswarappa said the university helped her develop both academic and soft skills through networking and teamwork. She also credited the supportive environment and friendships she built during her studies. She plans to continue her studies in the UK after gaining professional experience in architecture.
NTU said its focus on career readiness, practical learning and industry engagement continues to support students as they transition into professional careers. The university is ranked among the Top 5 universities in the UK for Employability by Uni Compare 2027, while 76% of its students progress to graduate-level employment or further training within 15 months of graduating, according to The Guardian University Guide 2026.
