So far 1,36,143 citizens get Corona vaccine in Vadodara district

Corona vaccination campaign is going on in full swing all over Vadodara district to provide protection against the spread of Covid 19. Vaccination drive is speeding up by Vadodara District Health System under the guidance of District Collector Shalini Agarwal and District Development Officer Kiran Zaveri.

In the district , the health department has started giving corona vaccine to the citizens above 45 years of age. Under the vaccination campaign so far a total of 1,36,143 citizens in Vadodara district have been vaccinated and got health protection against corona. The first dose of corona vaccine was given to 9535 citizens above the age of 45 on the first day in Vadodara district.

Chief District Health Officer Dr. Surendra Jain said that the work of giving corona vaccine is going on in full swing at more than 200 centers in the rural areas of Vadodara district. Elders of the age group of 60+ and citizens above the age of 45 years are taking advantage of these arrangements. He added that so far in Vadodara district, the first dose of corona vaccine has been given to a total of 1,36,143 citizens, including 34,796 who are above 45 years of age and 1,01,347 who are above 60 years of age.

Dr. Jain said that under the vaccination campaign in Vadodara district, a total of 1,36,143 citizens including 16568 in Dabhoi taluka, 5916 in Desar, 14459 in Karjan, 25620 in Padra, 14402 in Savli, 7187 in Vadodara and 35530 in Waghodia taluka have been given the vaccine as health guards against the deadly virus.

In addition the vaccinators guide them about the precautions, necessary medicines to be taken in case of minor or major side effects like fever or body aches. So far almost no incidents of side effects have been reported.
