61 Multi Para Monitors received for ICU beds in Covid ward at Sayaji Hospital

35 more advanced ventilators will be installed on Saturday – Dr. Vinod Rao

The state government and the health department are providing tools and equipment to widen the Covid treatment facilities at Sayaji Hospital in Vadodara.

As part of this, 61 Multi Para Monitors have been provided for ICU beds of the Covid treatment facility. Devices have been provided by GMSCL to make the treatment of the patients more effective.

Officer on Special Duty and Education Secretary Dr. Vinod Rao accompanied by the Municipal Commissioner, held a meeting at Sayaji Hospital and reviewed the situation in detail.

He said a further 35 state-of-the-art ventilators would be installed at the treatment facility of Sayaji Hospital on Saturday. There are currently 65 ventilators out of which 41 are used for treatment of patients and 24 are available. With the installation of 35 new ventilators, 100 advanced ventilators will be available at the hospital.

There are currently 221 vacancies against the 550 beds available for the treatment of patients. Matters relating to human resources and services have been resolved at Sayaji Hospital.
