25000 Demographic Respondents of 5000 Households of 106 Villages researched within a day under 6th Holistic Exposure Learning Program
Indukaka Ipcowala Institute of Management (I2IM), a constituent of CHARUSAT (Accredited with A Grade by NAAC), Changa celebrated its 6th consecutive Holistic Exposure Learning Programmer (HELP)on August 10, 2018. More than 500 students of MBA, PGDM and BBA Programmers along with 10 faculty members were divided in teams to carry out the task.I2IM undertook this task of community
service programmer under Holistic Exposure Learning Programmer (HELP) to generate awareness about CHARUSAT, CHARUSAT Hospital and its various health care schemes like Health Insurance, Swasthya Setu Yojana, to profile population/households in terms of age, education, occupation, disease prevalent/ contracted, annual income, monthly expenses, spending, on healthcare and others.
The aim is to nurture the future managers with the concept of “Learning by doing” in societal setting /open system, provide them field based learning through personal interactions and observations, and develop an understanding about the needs of various stakeholders of the society.
The Activities carried out within a day areCareer Guidance and Counseling Seminars to 15000 students in 100 Schools, Distribution of Oxygen Masks to Traffic Police Officers of Ahmadabad and Vadodara,
Distribution of 5000 Indian National Flags as a part of Independence Day Celebration, Exhibition of ‘Rakhis’ prepared by physically disabled children of Maitry Trust, Nadiad, 500 trees plantation in 20 villages, Awareness of Government schemes and projects (Maa Yojana, Post Metric Scholarship Yojana, Pradhanmantri Fasal Vima Yojana, Pradhanmantri Suraksha Vima Yojana, Sukanya Samrudhdhdi
Yojana) among 5000 households, 10 Role Plays and Street Plays in villages on ‘Say No to Plastic’, ‘Health Awareness Insurance’Clean India Campaign’, and ‘Anti Tabaco Drive’ in 10 villages and Screening of 200 Videos on Life Management Skills.
“HELP is an enormous research activity undertaken every year since last six years at Indukaka Ipcowala Institute of Management (I2IM), CHARUSAT. This volunteer initiative is based on the concept of developing knowledge, skills and attitude among all aspiring managers undertaking management education/ training at IIIM,” Said Dr. Govind Dave, Principal, I2IM, and Dean, Faculty of Management Studies.
