Indian youth can play cricket, football, volleyball, run and do cycling. However there are not so many options for girls when it comes to sports. This prediction is going to change in the present times as now women are proving their skills in many sports like wrestling, boxing, kabaddi, weightlifting, football and are making a name not only in India but also in the country and abroad. Indian women athletes are ruling the world by breaking traditional caste beliefs.

The “Statue of Unity” at Kevadia Colony is one of the leading tourist destinations on the world map today. It has taken shape to pay homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the great iron man of India. A sports event is taking shape in the vicinity to see the unity of whole India at one place.

Under the chairmanship of Dr. Kiritbhai Premjibhai Solanki Member of Parliament Ahmedabad West, the 42nd Senior National Women’s Football Championship is being organized by the Women’s Football Federation of India at the Statue of Unity at Kevadia from 21st to 26th March 2021. Women football teams from 28 states and 8 union territories will be present at the tournament.

The championship will start on 21st March at SRP Parade Ground Kevadia by Dr. Kiritbhai Solanki Protom Speaker of the Lok Sabha. On this occasion Shabdsharan Tadvi former Minister Government of Gujarat, Dr. Maheshbhai Nayak DIG Arms Unit Vadodara, District Collector Narmada, District Superintendent of Police Narmada, Ghanshyam Patel District BJP President Narmada District will remain present at the inauguration.

Gujarat Women’s Football Association President Arun Kumar Sadhu, General Secretary Tinakrishna Das is handling the entire tournament.
