Decision in protest against the collective notice given to around 800 employees

3500 employees of Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited have decides to go on mass leave on 1st July 2020. They take the step after around 800 employees were given collective notice by the MD and managment for various reasons. The decision is likely to have a serious impact on power supply and maintenance.

Girish Joshi, N.U. Nayak and Mukesh Nayak from Gujarat Energy Joint Coordinating Committee formed for the agitation against this collective notice said, “Our employees are on duty every season and even this challenging times of Corona epidemic their performance has been applauded by the government and the people as well. On the other hand, M.G.V.C.L. MD Tushar Bhatt and other senior offcials issued collective notices to around 800 employees for various reasons. The agitation is not for any financial gain not even against the government, but against the MD and senior officials of the company.

They further said that under the Gujarat Energy Joint Coordinating Committee, 3500 employees decide to go on collective leave on 1-7-2020 in protest of the notice given to about 800 employees by MD Tushar Bhatt and management officials. They also added that their movement will have a serious impact on power supply and maintenance, but they do not allow their employees to be wrongfully harassed.
