Prepared to deal with the disast

A total of 35 teams have been deployed in Gujarat State including 05 teams in Diu State by the NDRF to deal with the possible damage due to cyclone “Maha” rising in the Arabian Sea from the southwest region of Gujarat state.

As per
the release on 07 November, the NDRF teams visited the areas which could be
affected and taught rescue tips to the local people.  Due to the possible
danger in Diu, people were taken to a safe place. The NDRF jawans stayed in the
villages and residential areas along the beaches for the whole day and helped
the people, fishermen and common people.

Commandant
of 06 BN NDRF, Vadodara, R. S.  Joon himself was present throughout the
day with the teams deployed in the disaster-prone areas. The entire situation
was monitored by the NDRF and work was done along with state and local
administration.  All the teams have the necessary logistic accessories
like cutters, generators, boats, satellite phones, state-of-the-art
communication equipment to deal with the disaster.  

NDRF
teams are deployed in Ahmedabad, Amreli, Anand, Batod, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Dev
Bhoomi Dwarka, Gandhinagar, Jamnagar, Gir Somnath, Junagadh, Khera, Morbi,
Navsari, Porbandar, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara and Valsad districts in the
state.
