32 specialist doctors appointed in Sayaji Hospital on contract basis

Decisive step for strengthening the treatment services of Covid 19

With the proper permission of District Collector Shalini Agarwal and following the provisions of the State Department of Health and Family Welfare, 32 specialist doctors have been appointed on fixed salary basis for strengthening the Covid treatment services at Sayaji Hospital on an 11-month contract. They will work as class one specialist doctors and their services will be taken under NHM.

Importantly, these doctors have completed their post-graduate education from Baroda Medical College, and had work experience of Sayaji Hospital with them.

These specialist doctors who are to provide health services as resident doctors include doctors from medical specialties like Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, TB and Chest, Pathology, Surgery, Pediatrics and Ophthalmology.

District Collector has expressed the expectation that this contract based recruitment will increase the capacity and well-being of the health service.
