300 Govindas from Mumbai will break the auspicious Matki in Vadodara

Invited by Jai Sainath Education Charitable Trust to perform in Vadodara

Vadodara city will witness Matki Fod programmes in various areas to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna. Jai Sainath Education Charitable Trust also organise such programmes in various areas where 300 Govindas from Maharashtra will break the auspicious Matki tied 35 foot above the ground.

RSP councillor Rajesh Aiyre said their trust invited the groups from Maharashtra for the last 13 years to take part in the Matki Fod programmes. The team from Pipleshwar Mahadev area in Mumbai reached the city this morning after taking part in around 12 areas in Matki Fod programmes at Mumbai.

They all will be taking part in Matki Fod programmes at Nandalaya Haveli, ITI crossing Gorwa, Swami Vivekanand Heights, Laxmipura road, Kishan Complex, Gotri crossing and Saibaba temple, Elora park area till night.

The team starts practicing six months earlier from the festival and all the members are working in government and semi government departments. The earning from the Matki Fod is used by then to celebrate the Ganesha festival just few days ago. The team said they like to come to Vadodara and perform as the crowd is more here in comparison to Mumbai. They love the Sev Usal here and after reaching first went to taste the famous breakfast here in Vadodara.
