A unique blend to carry out Research and Socio-Academic Responsibility by 400 Management Students Indukaka Ipcowala Institute of Management (I2IM), a constituent of CHARUSAT (Accredited with A Grade by NAAC), Changa celebrated its 5thconsecutive Holistic Exposure Learning Programme (HELP) on August 4, 2017.
More than 400 students of MBA, PGDM and BBA Programmes along with 8faculty members were divided in teams to carry out such a mammoth manoeuvre.I2IM undertook this task of community service programme under Holistic Exposure Learning Programme (HELP) to generate awareness about CHARUSAT, CHARUSAT Hospital and its various health care schemes like Swasthya Setu Yojana, to profile population/households in terms of age, education, occupation, disease prevalent/ contracted, annual income, monthly expenses, spending, on healthcare, etc.It was also aimed to provide the students of I2IM with the management concepts as “Learning by doing” in societal setting /open system, field based learning, personal interactions and observations equipped the students to develop an understanding about the needs of various stakeholders of the society. It is also aimed to help students to learn and to liaise with and understand management models practiced by various agencies like Government, local bodies, private institutions, NGOs etc.

Career Guidance and Management Seminars in 40 Schools.
Celebration of Rakshabandhan with 200 Traffic Police Officers of Ahmedabad and Vadodara.
Awareness of 40 Government schemes and projects (Maa Yojana, Post Metric Scholarship Yojana, Pradhanmantri Fasal Vima Yojana, Pradhanmantri Suraksha Vima Yojana, Sukanya Samrudhdhdi Yojana) for among 5000 households.
Role Play and Street Plays in villages on Women Empowerment under Equal Opportunity Cell.
Seminars on Management – A Gita Way to spread and promote the efficacy and universality of Management Education in 40 schools.
Screening of 200 Videos on Life Management Skills.
Visiting Old Age Homes at Ahmedabad and Dakor.
Heritage Tour at Khambhat.“HELP is an enormous research activity undertaken every year since last five years at IndukakaIpcowala Institute of Management (I2IM), CHARUSAT. I2IM strives hard to attain his vision to contribute in Nation Development through Education and Research. This volunteer initiative is based on the concept of developing knowledge, skills and attitude among all aspiring managers undertaking management education/ training at IIIM,” Said Dr. Govind Dave, Principal, I2IM, and Dean, Faculty of Management Studies. “
It is worth noting that previous year under HELP-2016, activities like 400 trees plantation in 100 villages, video screening of Government schemes and projects (Make in India, Skilled India, Clean India, Start – up India and many more) for awareness in the rural areas in more than 1000 households, seminars on Management – A Gita Way to spread and promote the efficacy and universality of Management Education in 36 schools, distribution of more than 100 books of G. Narayanan – the Management Guru in Govt. Public Libraries, installation of more than 100 nests for sparrows in 105 acres of CHARUSAT campus, collection demographic details 5000 households of 100 villages to identify the Research areas and further needs of the same and contribution of 2 Kg Prashad to Celebrate and share the joy of festivity at Pandal of Shri Ganesha in 100 villages were conducted.
On this occasion, Surendra Patel, President, CHARUSAT, Dr. B G Patel, Provost, CHARUSAT and Shri Devang Joshi, Registrar, CHARUSAT congratulated Team I2IM and expressed the sense of gratification for this unique and innovative initiative of I2IM for making CHARUSAT a brand reaching to every strata of the society.
