In a important decision taken by the Vadodara district administration, around 2400 registered medical practitioners in the city will giving their services as designated Covid care consultants. With this the patients having presymptomatic and mild symptoms will be under home treatment and not visit the hospitals unnecessarily.

Giving details OSD Dr. Vinod Rao said, he had a joint meeting with the office bearers of Indian Medical Association, Family Physicians Association and AYUSH Doctors Association. They are enrolling about 2,400 private registered medical practitioners of Vadodara in Symptomatic Detection of COVID Positive and in Home Based COVID Care.

The MBBS and Ayush doctors will identify their patients having suspicious symptoms and gives them home based Covid care. Rao said, This will help citizens get best possible COVID Care from their own family doctors who are familiar with the medical history of their patients. Secondly citizens won’t have to necessarily go to a government hospital or UPHC.

They are notifying all registered medical practitioners of Vadodara as Designated COVID Consultants under Section 2 of Epidemic Act, 1897. The administration will be providing online training to all of them this week on Home Based COVID Care.
