COMMEMORATION OF 20th ANNIVERSARY OF KARGIL VIJAY DIVAS

‘Operation Vijay’ will always be remembered in the history for the valour and determination exhibited by troops in the most inhospitable and rugged terrain to beat back a well entrenched enemy. Golden Katar Division of Indian Army will be hosting various events to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Divas.

A Wreath Laying Ceremony will be held at Golden Katar War Memorial on 26 Jul 2019 to remember the martyrs. The ceremony is likely to be attended by Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani.

As part of Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations, a motorcycle expedition team consisting of six young riders led by Captain Shaunak Bhate and Captain Vishnu Nair from Kargil to Ahmedabad covering 3150 Kms will be flagged in at ‘Smt GGI Cantonment School Ground’ on 26 Jul 2019. A ‘Static Display’ of military equipment for general public will also be open between 1030 hrs to 1600 hrs at the venue.
