Government offices waterlogged in first monsoon rains

Monsoon rains finally arrives in Vadodara and for the last couple of days the city receives half inch of rains. The low lying areas along with government offices are prone as rain water enters inside the offices which creates trouble for the people coming there for various works.

Vadodara recently finds place in the smart city project but the first monsoon rains shows the real picture. The local administration is spending crores for making the city smart but the rain waters entered the government offices which raised many questions.

In the last 24 hours the city recieves 75mm rains and the low lying areas are waterlogged. However the government offices are also not spared and rain waters entered inside the office and forced the daily routine work to suffer.

VMSS Revenue department office was waterlogged after the rain water enters inside. The officials shocked to see the files swims above rain water and immediately the Safai workers are put into work to flush out the water from inside the office.

The half inch first rains in the city shows the real picture of the city where the low lying areas are waterlogged. VMSS is spending lots of efforts and money in beautification of the city and broadening the roads. But it seems that they fails in their pre monsoon campaign. As more rains prediction is there it's a challenge for the VMSS this monsoon.
