State congress protesed against Gujarat government policies
As a part of Rasta Roko andolan today Gujarat congress protested in various parts of state incuding Rajkot – Gondal Highway, Vadodara – Bharuch -Surat National highway, Tapi, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Palanpur, Deesa , Patan , Siddhpur, Himmatnagar national highway and many more internal roads of the state.
Vadodara city Congress and Karjan Taluka Congress disrupted the traffic on highway and Chakka Jam there as per their call given few days ago. The Congress demand to waive the loans of farmers in Gujarat just like in other states and called for the state wide protest in Gujarat. The members of the Congress burn tyres and shouted slogans against the BJP government before the police reached and detained around 50 members from the spot.They reached the crossroads of NH 8 in the morning and started protesting against the ruling government.
In Vadodara Congress President Prashant Patel lead the programme and reached Dumad crossroads in the morning for the Chakka Jam. Heavy police bandobast was deployed from Golden Chowkdi to Dumad in view of the protest and Chakka Jam.
In view of the heavy deployment of police the Congress members burns tyres at Dumad crossroads and disrupted the traffic. The vehicular traffic from Mumbai towards Ahmedabad was disrupted due to the protest and burning of the tyres.
However before the situation went out of control the police detained Congress city president Prashant Patel, leader of opposition in VMSS Chandrakant Shrivastav (Bhattu), Raju Master, Jagdish Brahmbhatt (Jago) along with 25 others and take them to the police station.
As the police starting detain the Congressmen they start shouting slogans against the government and demand to waive loans of farmers in Gujarat. The fire brigade vehicles was also standby in view of the situation on the highway.
Karjan Taluka Congress also protest and Chakka Jam at the Karjan Highway as per the call given by the Gujarat Congress. Police detained 25 congressmen from the spot before the matter went out of hands.
