Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan (VMSS) teams continued its checking drive on Monday and searched various food items at different malls and collected samples for testing.
In view of upcoming Diwali festival the VMSS health department team conducted raids on food outlets, shops for checking the quality of the food items. On Monday they continued the drive and targets the malls. The department formed five teams and conducted checking in Big Bazaar Fathehgunj, Reliance Mall OP Road, Inorbit Mall Alembic road, Spencer’s Mall Wadi Wadi and D Mart Makarpura.
The teams checked various packed food items and took samples of Chocolates, Besan Ladoo, Farsan, Sonpapdi and dry fruits. The samples were send to the laboratory for checking and further action. The VMSS team is not taking any chance and are checking the quality of the food at various Sweet shops and bakeries.
This time the VMSS is checking bakeries and other food outlets other than sweet shops to check hygiene and quality of the food. The drive will continue after the Diwali vacation.
