Government decision to release prisoners served 66% of punishment inside the jail

19 prisoners serving jail term for various offences inside Vadodara central jail was released on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The step is taken in view of the government decision to release the prisoners served 66% of punishment inside the jail.

It’s a new life for the prisoners as they were freed from the jail and feel the freedom outside. The moment was emotional as they thought about the crimes they done and now free after learning so much things during their jail term.

“We are happy and thanked the government to free us on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. During the jail term we study and learn lots of things like bike repairing, bakery and computers. It helps us to start our life from a new beginning,” said one of the prisoners Dharmesh Patel.

All the 19 prisoners serve 66% of their jail terms and released on Gandhi Jayanti by the decision of central and state government. “The decision to release the prisoners was taken in view of government decision. They all the happy and everyone was regretting what they done and now with a changing heart wish to start their lives afresh,’ said senior jailor B.B. Jhala.
