16 yr old girl commit suicide: Vadodara

“Sorry Papa, I failed to live up to your expectations for getting 80% in the exams. I will keep my promise in my next life. I failed to be your good daughter, Sorry Papa, Sorry Didi I am going”. This is what the 16 year old girl from Gotri area in Vadodara mentioned in her suicide note before end her life. Studying in 11th Science in Ambe High School the aspiring doctor committed suicide after get less marks in her school exams.

Her shocked father said that his daughter gives a hint about the extreme step in her whatsapp messages to him but he failed to understand and it’s very sad for him.

Residing in 125, Narayan Garden Society in Gotri and studying in Ambe High school the teenager was upset after get 65 % marks and commit suicide in her home. She hanged herself by using the dupatta from the fan hook inside her study room on Wednesday night.

As per the details the girl’s father Rajesh Parekh works in IPCL and also a poet. After completing his night shift he came back home in the morning and found the door was closed. He called his younger daughter at around 7.30am for school but she didn’t answer and then he called his elder daughter studying in MSU Baroda. The elder daughter immediately picked the phone and went downstairs to open the door.

Then Rajesh Parekh asked his daughter to wake up the younger one as she is getting late for the school. However she received the shock of her life as she saw the body of her younger sister hanging from the ceiling. She shouted and her father rushed to see what happened and freezes for some time after saw her younger daughter’s life less body. They immediately broke the door of the room and brought down the body of her daughter and informed the police and relatives.

Before taking the extreme step the 16 year old girl wrote a suicide note and mentioned her father for not fulfilling her commitment to him. She addressed her father and sister and felt sorry for the step and promised to fulfill her commitment in the next life.

The sad father said that his daughter was brilliant in studies and got 75% (95% Percentile) in 10th standard. His wife died five years ago due to Gynaec problem and so his younger daughter wants to become a Gynaecologist. She also took Science subject in 11th to fulfill her dream to become a doctor.

Rajesh Parekh further said that his daughter gives a hint of the extreme step in her whatsapp messages a week ago but he failed to understand. He also said that on Thursdaythere is a parents meeting in her school and he was expected to go there. He also feel that his daughter might thought that she failed to fulfill her commitment to him and if he visit her school that how he feel. So she might took the extreme step due to the reason. J.P. police is further investigating the case.
