144 fishermen released from Pakistan reached Vadodara on new year

2018 bring new life for the fishermen served jail term inside Pakistan prisons. Around 144 fishermen maximum from Gujarat reached their home state on the new year eve and heading towards their respective destinations by road from Vadodara railway station.

As per the details the fishermen were detained by Pakistan on 23rd January 2017 and after 11 months of jail they were finally released on 29thDecember. 144 fishermen were released from Pakistan and two officers J.B. Tandel and J.H. Torania from Gujarat Fisheries department received them at Wagah border.

All of them are from nearby villages from Veraval town and they all board the train from Amritsar and reached Vadodara on early morning 1st January 2018. They all feel like its start of a new life for them on the first day of new year. The fisheries department make arrangements for them to reach their destinations by road from Vadodara railway station.
