Government of J&K is planning to develop new 14 destinations for the tourists. Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmarg and other popular destinations in the Kashmir Valley have enough qualities to attract tourist from all parts of the world. But for some different kind of an experience and some change government of J&K is planning to develop new destinations within the state to attract more tourists.
At present government is planning to focus on two places namely Toosa Maidan firing range and the lesser-known Bungas Valley in north Kashmir. Both of these places would be turned into eco-tourism destinations, where the local people will play major role in the development of infrastructural facilities for tourists, without harming the environment.
Not only that, the state tourism is also going to boost the livelihood of the local residents by providing them the necessary training to host the tourists, and will also provide them necessary job.
According to the reports, monetary assistance would be given to them to redevelop their mud hutments into guest’s lodges.
The upcoming new destinations for tourist will include Sinthan, Mazmooh, Apple Town Chiniwooder, Dudhal Shrunz, Mantalai, Bani Basoli, Ranjeet Sagar Dam, Nori Chamb, Seven Rajouri, Burzuhama and Khanmoh Fossil.
