Earthquake of 4.7 magnitude hits the south Gujarat and other parts of state. Tremors felt around 9.24 AM on 17th July morning but no immediate reports of damage or casualties received.

Epicenter of the Earthquake was 14 km from Surat, South Gujarat. Depth of earthquake was 10 km, according to ISR.

Tremors were felt in various part of Gujarat which involves Surat, Vadodara, Bharuch,Bhavnagar, Amreli, Sawarkundla, Adajan, Tadaja, Palitana and other parts of Gujarat.

CM Anandibahen Patel tweeted that, “ Earthquake of magnitude 4.7 reported near Surat this morning. State government is taking necessary action. No damage reported till now.”

CM Anandibahen Patel orders administration to look out the situation of affected areas. There is no reports of damage and causalities.
