For, the Nepali cricketers are now honing their cricketing skills in Gujarat.
Nepal's national cricket team is camping in the state to play the Friendship Cup against the Baroda and Gujarat senior cricket teams and is preparing for the World Cup.
The state has quality domestic cricket teams and playing against them would bring the best out of our players and prepare them for WC. So we decided to approach the cricket associations in Gujarat for organizing this T20 tournament," Mrugang Desai, head coach of the Nepal cricket team said.
The finals of the Tri-Series Friendship Cup will be played on April 7.
The Cricket Association of Nepal reached out to the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) and Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) and took due permission from BCCI for the seven-day T20 tournament that took off at a cricket ground at Vapi on Sunday.
